While searching through some papers this weekend I came across a letter from Dr. Stanley Pons. It is dated 5/23/1989.
In the letter he accepts membership in the ThermoDynamic Police and solicits membership for Martin Fleischman. He includes signed oaths of office for the organization. (See the oath below)
As a lark I had offered Dr. Pons membership as a statement of an open mind toward his alleged discovery of cold fusion. I had also sent him a ThermoDynamic Police cap. He asked for a second complimentary cap which I sent.
It was fun to find the correspondence. I understand he is cooking up a storm in the south of France.Labels: Old letter pops to surface
